How to teach the kids to cover their mouths when they sneeze? Okay so I have a home daycare and we have a 4yo, 2 3yo's, and 3 11/2 yo's. We have noticed lately that the older kids don't cover their mouths when they sneeze, often times sneezing or coughing on the other kids. We have brought it up to the parents and they don't seem to be concerned. We asked them to teach their kids to do this and they kinda said ok. We told them to teach them to cover their mouth with their arm, not their hand. At my house we kinda remind them after they sneeze that the need to cover thier mouths. When one of the kids does it we tell them good job! We are slowly trying it with the 1 1/2 yo as will even thogh they are young, I believe the early we introduce it the better. Any other advice? My kids eat different food to others in their school - Its now a problem, what do you suggest I do? My kids eat very healthy food and they prefer that most of the time. The problem is at school they are constantly upset because someone has insulted their dinner for being healthy or foreign. The other day I made them stuffed pittas with salad and olives and chilli sauce and they were ridiculed so much my son starved himself and my daughter cried. The parents of illegals can walk in and demand that their kid is taught. Kids bringing in diseases to our kids and now our kids are required to have additional shots, but the illegals are not required to do a G-D thing. The schools let in illegals, simple as that. It is true. They are in our schools and bringing diseases to our kids. The point is...the more things we are required to do as citizens, the less things illegals are required to do. More and more demands are put on us, while more and more excuses are made for them. How do you get your kids out of the habit of coming to your bed in the middle of the night? My kids are 8 and 10, and almost guarenteed, every night one or both of them end up in my bed sometime in the night. Even if theres no storm (which would be understandable). I think they are getting too old to do that. Espeically, cuz sometimes after a night of passion with my husband, we fall asleep naked. Well, thats just WRONG for kids to crawl into bed with us like that. And it also puts a damper on morning sex, which we both enjoy, but often can't cuz of "little company".
